CROSS-HARBOUR TUNNEL ORDINANCE - minor amendment

CHAPTER 203

CROSS-HARBOUR TUNNEL

1. The Cross-Harbour Tunnel Ordinance is amended-

(1) in section 2 in the definition of 'Director- by repealing
'Engineering Development' and substituting 'Highways';

(2) by repealing section 27;

(3)in section 46(2) by repealing 'Public Health and Urban
Services Ordinance' and substituting -Public Health and
Municipal Services Ordinance';

(4) by repealing section 61(d);

(5) by repealing sections 63 and 64 and substituting-

63. The Foreshore and Sea-bed (Reclamations)
Ordinance shall not apply in respect of the tunnel area.

2. The Cross-Harbour Tunnel Regulations are amended in regula-
tion 4-

(a) by repealing paragraph (n) and substituting-

(n)in addition to the requirements mentioned in para-
graph (m), maintain in a state of readiness at all times
electricity generating apparatus which, in the event of
failure of the outside sources of electric power, will be
sufficient to operate such emergency systems and
equipment in the tunnel area as may from time to
time be specified in writing by the Commissioner;

(b) by repealing paragraph (p).
