PHARMACY AND POISONS ORDINANCE - minor amendment

CHAPTER 138

PHARMACY AND POISONS

1. The Pharmacy and Poisons Regulations are amended-

(1) in regulation 19(2)(a)-

(a)by repealing -cupboard or drawer' wherever it appears
and substituting 'receptacle';

(b) by repealing 'or' at the end and substituting 'and';

(2)in regulation 22(1)(a) by repealing 'Medical and Health
Services' and substituting 'Health';

(3)in regulation 23(1) by repealing 'Medical and Health Services'
and substituting 'Health';

(4) by adding after regulation 38-

Labelling of certain medicines

38A. (1) No person shall sell or supply any
medicine unless it is labelled with particulars printed so as
to be clearly legible in English and Chinese, as to dosage
and the route and frequency of administration.

(2) This regulation shall not apply to medicine that
is included in Part 1 of the Poisons List or in the Schedule
to the Antibiotics Regulations (Cap. 137, sub. leg.).

2. The Pharmacy and Poisons (Pharmacy and Poisons Appeal
Tribunal) Regulations are amended-

(1) in regulation 2, in the definition of 'Director', by repealing
'Medical and Health Services' and substituting 'Health';

(2)in regulation 3(2) by repealing 'Medical and Health
Department' and substituting 'Department of Health'.
