Description
No. 17 of 1923.
An Ordinance to provide for the management of the area
known as the Chinese Recreation Ground and the
expenditure of the revenue derived therefront.
[21st September, 1923.]
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Chinese Recreation
Ground Ordinance, 1923.
2.-(1) It shall be lawful for the Governor to appoint a
committee for the management of the Chinese Recreation
Ground.
(2) The said committee's power of management shall be
subject to any regulations relating to the Chinese Recreation
Ground for the time being in force under the Public Places
Regulation Ordinance, 1870, and subject to the approval of
the Governor in any matter not dealt with in any such
regulations.
(3) The said committee may expend for the benefit of the
Chinese Recreation Ground all revenue derived or to be
derived therefrom, and any surplus revenue may be applied
by the said committee to any charitable purpose approved by
the Governor.
