MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY (LAND RESUMPTION AND RELATED PROVISIONS) ORDINANCE - minor amendment

CHAPTER 276

MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY (LAND RESUMPTION
AND RELATED PROVISIONS)

The Mass Transit Railway (Land Resumption and Related
Provisions) Ordinance is amended-

(1) in section 2-

(a)in the definition of 'authorized office?' by repealing
'Engineering Development' and substituting 'Buildings
and Lands';

(b)in the definition of 'Director' by repealing 'Engineering
Development' wherever it occurs and substituting
'Buildings and Lands';

(c) by adding after the definition of 'Director'-

'eastern harbour crossing' means that part of the
railway between the junction of King Yip Street
and Kwun Tong Road in New Kowloon and
Quarry Bay in the Island of Hong Kong;
(Added 6 of 1986 s. 2)

(2) in section 3-

(a)by repealing 'Engineering Development' wherever it
occurs and substituting 'Buildings and Lands';

(b)by adding after 'easements' wherever it occurs 'or
rights';

(3)in sections 10(2) and 29(1), (2) and (3) by repealing
'Engineering Development' wherever it occurs and sub-
stituting 'Buildings and Lands';

(4)in section 15(3) by adding 'or the eastern harbour crossing'
after 'the railway';

(5)in the First Schedule under the heading 'Losses for which
compensation may be claimed' in items 11 and 12 by adding
'or the eastern harbour crossing' after 'the railway' wherever
it occurs;

(6) in the Second Schedule by repealing 'Government Mass
Transit Engineer' and substituting 'Chief Estate Surveyor'.
