OFFENCES AGAINST THE PERSON ORDINANCE - minor amendment

CHAPTER 212

OFFENCES AGAINST THE PERSON

1. The Offences against the Person Ordinance is amended-

(1)in section 5 by repealing 'a misdemeanor, and shall be liable to
imprisonment for 10 years' and substituting 'an offence and
shall be liable to imprisonment for life';

(2) in section 42 by repealing '14 years' and substituting 'life';

(3)in section 47A(3) and (5)(b) by repealing 'Medical and Health
Services' and substituting 'Health'.

2. The Termination of Pregnancy Regulations are amended-

(1)in regulation 2 by repealing 'Medical and Health Services' and
substituting 'Health';

(2)in regulation 5(a) by repealing 'Medical and Health
Department- and substituting 'Department of Health';

(3) in Form 3 of the Schedule---
(i) in the heading, by repealing 'MEDICAL AND
HEALTH SERVICES' and substituting 'HEALTH';
(ii) in the Note at the end, by repealing 'Medical and
Health Services, Medical and Health Department' and
substituting 'Health, Department of Health';

(4) in the Chinese version of Form 3 of the Schedule-
(i) by repealing ;
(ii) in the Note at the end, by repealing.
